This winter has been uncharacteristically cold and snow-filled for pretty much everyone in the country. I know we are so happy to have more daylight now, and the sunny days we’ve been having make the weather seem deceivingly nicer than the actual 40 degree highs. No matter what Phil says, though, we feel like Spring is right around the corner because our flowers are blooming!
I’ve never planted bulbs before, but decided it would be a good project for Kate and me. Last Fall we bought a mix of daffodil and tulip bulbs, and planted them around the lightpost in the front yard. I dug the holes and measured 6 inches deep, then Kate popped the bulbs in and replaced the dirt. I can’t remember how many of each we planted, but I really hope they all come up and we can enjoy our little handy work for years to come.
