It’s been a few weeks since I passed out any Chicago Dog Awards, but I have 2 new blog loves that I’m excited to recognize today!
This week’s Tour stops at 2 blogs that I have come to enjoy because of their originality. Both of them have a very unique niche, if you will, and I admire them tremendously for that!
And as always, these bloggers have the perfect mix of ingredients, just like a true Chicago Dog.

I’ve been reading Ally for a few weeks now, and if you’ve never read her blog before, it’s about all things retro! It might be old school commercials, 80′s toys, childhood heart throbs or her days as a teen magazine reporter, interviewing the likes of Britney Spears. She’s a lot of fun and I’m always looking forward to seeing what old music video she digs up next.
Lori is a blog I just found in the past few days. And it was love at first sight!
Lori lives by Martha Points. As in Martha Stewart.
What are “Martha Points”, you ask? Here’s her explanation:
“Introducing The Martha Points Scale. A 100 point spread on the relative “Martha-y-ness” of my house.
The Martha Points Scale is a tally of the various positive/negative points I can earn by doing/ignoring various things in my home. A Martha Point is a self-assigned point (or lack thereof) that I give to myself based on my mood at the time a complex formula involving intergrel calculus.”
