The belle and the bean just wouldn’t be the same without their chicago dog.

And on Monday, July 26th, Jack had his 9th birthday!

So it is in his honor that I present the many looks of Jack, our hometown boy…

****************************************

Look at how young we you were!

dog, cockerspaniel,

As cute as can be!  And with green eyes to boot!

puppy, cocker spaniel

It didn’t take long for our obsession fascination with dressing you up to begin!

dog, cockerspaniel, PetSmart

With our move to Memphis came your Elvis look

dog, cockerspaniel, costume

Then Woody from Toy Story…

dog, cockerspaniel, costume

And Yoda, all before you became…

dog, cockerspaniel, costume, Star Wars

…a Big Brother!

baby, cocker spaniel

But the costumes didn’t stop there!

There was Dr. Seuss…

dog, cockerspaniel, costume

…and The Cowardly Lion

dog, cockerspaniel, Wizard of Oz

A flower…

dog, cockerspaniel, costume

and a cow!

dog, cockerspaniel, costume

Happy Birthday, buddy!  Mom, Dad, Kate and Madelyn all love you!

Hmmm. Wednesday’s about dogs this week, eh?

Sweet boy….Our first dog — before babies — was such a peach and holds a very important place in my heart.

Yours certainly looks like a patient soul. What’s the costume for Halloween this year? If it’s like my house, you’ve been talking about October for weeks…..

Jack is an absolutely beautiful dog. He really is. I love all his costumes. I can see facial expressions in some of these, like the flower one “Really mom?”. Hahaha. I love cocker spaniels. I miss ours.

Happy Birthday, Jack!

Cute as can be! We are getting our dog the first weekend in August. I am excited and nervous all at once. I have agreed to be the one to take on all the major responsibility. What was I thinking? And why didn’t I wait until the kids were in school? Apprently I like the challenge or something.

I love that you dress your dog up… and I love that Jack lets you do it! I think Yoda is my favorite costume, though Elvis is a close second.

I was thinkin’…who the heck is Jack! ha ha Love these. He’s definitely part of the fam!! I love his flower suit..so cute. Our doggy son is turning 14 this year. He’s a lab so doesn’t have much time left. But don’t know how we could ever replace him!!

These pictures are so cute! I used to dress my dogs up for Christmas card pictures. They knew to pose for each shot! It was really sweet! Thank you for your comment! I need to get healthy! Have a great night!

Ok this is so stupid, but I just realized that I never looked at your “My Gang” thing & I thought that the “Chicago Dog” this whole time – was your husband.

I feel really stupid.

Cute dog & I love the costumes!!!

happy birthday to Jack! I think it’s awesome you dress him up like that..I’m not allowed to dress our dog..I did work out a “hankerchief clause” but no further, with good cause, I admit- my mom and her side of the family go pretty overboard with pets. Still, I sigh when I think of the possibilities. I think my dog needs a raincoat..I almost sell dh on it, but then I have to add- and a hat, and cute boots. He says, “no”.

your dog is adorable!
