I’ve already written about my best friend, Kat, and how she’s Kate’s godmother.
Well, when I got pregnant with Maddie, I knew I wanted to ask my friend, Gina, to step up to the godparent plate.
Much like Kat, Gina is a college friend who stood up in my wedding. She and I are alike in many ways, but Gina is a woman who has NO desire to ever have children.
A simple inquiry on the matter will elicit a *snarky* response.
So when I called her and asked if she’d be the godmother to my second born, I told her that I’d do all the birthing and raising, and she could just send really cool gifts once in a while.
She loved the idea.
And has totally obliged.
