A Plethora of Smiles

The prompt I chose for this week’s Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop is:

Prompt 3.) Write a list of 10 things that are sure to put a smile on your face when you are not happy.

Mama's Losin' It

10.  Days I know I don’t have to cook dinner.

9.  Leaving a hysterical Madelyn with Craig so I can take Kate to dance class, and hearing Kate tell her sister, “I love you, Maddie, and I’ll be back soon!” before we’re out the door.

8. The smell of original formula Palmolive.  It’s a scent that transports me back to my childhood and the time I spent at my grandma’s house.

7. The (rare) days that I wake up with my alarm instead of being woken up by exploding bladder pains.  Damn kids ruined my bladder’s threshold…

6. Salty french fries.

5. Either salty or sweet George Clooney.  I’d take him however I could get him.

4. Hearing my girls grunt while lifting, pushing or carrying something.  For whatever reason, they like for us to hear how hard they are working.

3. The *plethora* of Kate-isms to be had, with the most recent being: {yelled through tears while on her Time Out Mat} “I’m SICK of getting CAUGHT!”

2. Cheesecake, sour patch kids and pretzel M&Ms, but not altogether.

1. Flipping through my old texts and glancing at my non-tech-savvy mom‘s text that read: “icantextbutdontknowhowtospace”

{This post is also part of Word Up, YO!, a brand new vocabulary meme!}

    Yum, salty fries! I must get some of those pretzel M&M’s. I love the little things kids come up with…Jules just asked me where time goes when it flies.
