I’ve been all about confessions lately.
I confessed to hearing other bloggers’ voices in my head. I admitted to being sound asleep when the clock struck midnight the past 6 New Year’s. I even made a few kids’ birthday party-related confessions.
Now here I go again, risking whatever non-lameness and credibility I may have left to say that I put bloggers into groups. In my mind, I have buddied-up similar bloggers. Some people I’ve put together because they legitimately are part of the same blogging tribe. Whereas others I’ve paired up if I found them at the same time, or if they write in a similar way.
It’s been 2 months since I last handed out any Chicago Dog Awards. And this time, I felt like giving out awards to some of my favorite bloggy duos.
But before I admonish praise for their awesomeness, here’s a bit about the Chicago Dog Award…

==Felix & Oscar ( i.e. Gigi and The Empress) – On one hand you have KludgyMom, the Queen of the Blogging World. The Go-To Resource Girl when you have a question. But on the other hand the Good Day, Regular People maven is…well…the opposite of Gigi! Both are equally loved, but Alexandra openly admits to her guffaws and lack of organization.
===Momma Kiss & All Work and No Play Makes Mommy Go Something Something – These girls are a duo in my mind because they write alike. In fact, their “voices” are so similar, their comments have been mistaken for one anothers’ on more than one occasion. If “mah” and “gah” and “fack” are your cup o’ tea, check out these women as they share both the triumphs and tribulations of life; they love big, laugh big, and bitch big. Gotta love that!
==Megan & Megan’s camera – Alright, so that’s not fair; I’m breaking my own rules. But anyone who’s been by Best of Fates knows that her camera is as much a part of her life, her blog and her hysterical, witty, dry-humored stories as Megan.

Congratulations ladies! I have some new blogs to check out now.
I remember the first day I met my camera. I got home from work to find the box waiting on my front steps. Cutting through the tape and cardboard, my heart beating faster and faster in my chest, I knew it was the start of something beautiful and lasting.
And now here we are, a little over a year later, accepting our first award.

I do the same thing! I intertwine certain bloggers because my head is full of all things blogging. I even went so far one time as to comment on a blogger’s blog and call her by the wrong name. And she was a BIG blogger. Yikes! As soon as I hit submit, I realized what I had done. I sent her an apology, but I never heard back from her. I don’t think she appreciated it too much.
And yes, who is my pairing? Just out of major curiosity?
