As we Dons unbuttoned our pants and breathed deeply before standing up from the dinner table to load up our plates with another round of food, we got to thinking about this “layover” time between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The holiday season really starts with Thanksgiving, and continues right on into January. We kick off the season with a huge turkey dinner and our momentum never stops as we prepare for Christmas.
It is because of this holiday layover that we are extending last week’s word – shindig – and adding in a second word to this week’s challenge. The Linky from last weekend has been extended, too.
Next Sunday we will announce the winner before jetting off on a Christmas vacation of our own. Word Up, YO! will resume in January after we’ve consumed much wine while regaling ourselves with Donnie Brasco, Casino, Goodfellas and The Godfather trilogy.
Please follow the link for the rules of Word Up, YO!
