Every 2 or 3 months, the Chicago Dog Award makes a grand appearance for a day, anoints a few new honorees, and disappears as quickly as it arrived. It’s been a few months, and this Chi-Town girl is eager to hand out a few piping-hot, new dogs!

This round o’ dogs, I focused on bloggers who I think have found their bloggy grooves.
= Kate from Mommy Monologues – Kate is a blogger who, along the way of sharing brutally-honest stories about her life as a wife and a mom, decided to tinker in blog design. Just months after that tinkering began, she got so good that she is now running a full service Blogger and WP design biz!
= Tonya from Letters For Lucas – I’ve been following Tonya for a long time, and was touched when she asked me to be her fairy blogmother. I feel that she’s found a strong voice and focus with her writing, and look up to her for that talent she’s harnessed.
= Carri from Adventures in Mommyhood – Carri is no holds barred, and I L-O-V-E that about her! She’s taken the blogosphere by storm with her style and candor. She’s a great tweep, too.
= Jessica from Four Plus An Angel – Jessica’s newest feature – The Hot Seat – is the talk of the blogosphere! I was lucky to be a part of it, even if my additions drew fire from her husband and extreme interest from her mom.
= Elena from Mommy Is In Time Out – I was floored when I first learned how much of a newbie Elena is! She’s hit a home run from Second 1 with her writing, features and Twitter presence.
Ladies, I sincerely hope you’ll accept this hot diggity from the bottom of my heart.
As a recipient of the coveted “Chicago Dog” award, I can only say…welcome to the club awesome ladies!

Seriously though, I remember seeing this award when I first starting blogging and thinking how awesome it was. I’m honored that you thought of me.
