For most of us, the purpose and end goal of Twitter will never be more than a networking tool, a way to have fun and connect with friends and a way to promote our writing.
But how cool would it be if it did become more?
What if you were the next Clarence House, manning the official Twitter feed of the wedding of the century?
Or even more amazing…the guy who unknowingly tweeted the raid on Osama Bin Laden?
Twitter is a powerful tool, and has the unique ability to connect the Somebodys with the Nobodys, and even turn a Nobody into a Somebody once in a while.
I make no promises of you becoming the next big thing on Twitter, but it would be really great if you spent today – Friday the 13th – hanging out in the Twitterverse, honing your social media skills.
Blog Boycotters, please link up your TWITTER HANDLE in the Linky below!
The next #BlogBoycottDay is Friday, June 10th!

I usually to the Mom Loop Friday follow, but will have problems commenting on some blogs while the “Problem” is going on. I will be on Twitter today!
YAY! We’d love for you to join us and link up!
Love #BlogBoycottDay! See you on twitter.
Yes, see you there!
Since blogger HATES us, it’s a perfect day to boycott.
Yippee! Thanks for joining!
Well, what a perfect day to do this! Since I think Blogger boycotted US. See y’all on Twitter!
I’m so happy you are jumping in on this!
Blogger hates me anyway, so I’m in!
Great! I’ll link up your Twitter handle for ya! Thanks for joining!
Thanks! I’m still kinda new to the blog community stuff, but I’m learning.
I still blogged today but will be happy to tweet all day as well.
Well, we are glad to have you!
I have a new post today, but I don’t mind hanging out on Twitter all day anyway.
Woot for Twitter!
I always hear everything first on Twitter and emails from CNN. LOL
that’s not bad is it????
I know, I’m the same way.
I linked up without my twitter name! Am so flustered with blogger down! Teri listed on the links is @Itsme_tbone on twitter. I tried to re-enter but no…forgive me my noncaffeinated blunder?
I fixed it, no worries.
Since Blogger is still being a jerk, I’m boycotting them and joining Blog Boycott Day! Happy tweeting!
Thanks so much for joining in!
Some idiot (which would be ME) put my real name instead of my twitter one. Damn Chrome Auto populate! So I’m up there twice.
Boycotting the blog today too. I actually boycott most days. Great idea!!!
I will try this out. Not sure I can keep up with all of you but it might be fun
BAD Blogger!
I have never been more sad that my work blocks Twitter. I so want to tweet with you.
Sniff, sniff – we’ll miss you Jen!
Not that I wouldn’t have joined ANYWAY but Blogger seemed to have really wanted me to be here.
: )
Either way, we’re glad you’re here!
I think Blog Boycott day broke Twitter!
I have a new post but I still want to hang out on twitter all day and connect!!
Twitter is SO great for building conenctions!
I plan on joining today! This was made extra possible by that blog platform that shall not be named
I love how you said, “that blog platform that shall not be named!” Curses, Blogger!
I can’t get on Twitter! Your diabolical plan to crash Blogger so we’d all participate in #BlogBoycottDay has been twarted… I can’t escape the Fail Whale!
I know! Maybe Google took down Twitter?
The plot thickens…
I don’t have TV (just Netflix) so I generally keep an ear on Twitter and then google for my news! I know it’s terrible but I don’t have time for TV and I can’t stand “background noise” unless its music!
I am so with you on that. I never have the TV on unless it’s the one night a week we watch a couple DVRed shows. I count on Twitter for my headlines, too!
Twitter has become quite powerful! That’s how I heard of Bin Laden’s death. I then told my huz who saw that the stock market had not yet reacted to the news. Super interesting.
The “dude” tweeting the royal wedding? That was me. I had to keep it pretty tame, unfortunately. And use words like “ascott” and “cravat.” Those Brits.
Hope you’re having a good weekend, Liz!
