It’s BAAAAAAACK!
Some of you probably remember around this time last year that organization of the first ever Blogger Mug Swap began.
What is MugSwap?
Why, it’s a super awesome networking/Secret Santa/spreading holiday cheer event held amongst bloggers!
What’s the premise of MugSwap?
The premise is this:
- You receive the name and snail mail address of another blogger taking part in #MugSwap2011.
- You keep that name a secret, otherwise you are ruining the fun & surprise.
- You head to a site like Zazzle.com to (very easily) create a coffee mug with your blog’s name, imagery and/or brand on it.
- You have Zazzle ship the mug to the recipient, who anxiously awaits its arrival and hurriedly opens the box to discover their super cool mug AND Secret MugSwapper’s identity.
So, how do I take part?
On Friday, November 4th, I’ll post about the rules for #MugSwap2011, as well as dates for joining in the swap, and “Order By” dates.
Can anyone take part?
I think it’s important that anyone taking part…
- Has a blog they currently write on (So, if you used to have a blog, or you have one but your last post was your Memorial Day cookout recipes, this probably isn’t the right event for you)
- AND has a Twitter account that you regularly tweet from (Same premise. We’re focusing on non-dormant social media users).
What if I’m Canadian? Is this for U.S. residents only?
If there are enough Canadians, I’d be happy to organize a swap amongst that group. Just let me know.
But I can’t wait! I want in NOW!
If you took part in the inaugural Swap – #MugSwap2010 – and know you want to take part again OR you could care less what rules I post, go ahead and send me an email with the following information:
- Your REAL name (Sorry, but I don’t think the US Postmaster accepts Booyah’s Momma or The Mother of the Chalupa as a recipient name)
- Your URL
- Your Twitter handle
- Your snail mail address
- Type “Mug Swap” in the Subject line
- Send the email to: BelleBeanDog@Gmail.com

Is this for US only? I’d love to participate but I’m in Canada.
If you can find a few other Canadian bloggers, I’d be happy to organize a swap amongst you. That way there aren’t U.S. bloggers upset about cost differences.

I don’t know how. I don’t know that bloggers would be OK with paying a much higher amount for shipping, and that’s if shipping to where she is is even possible via zazzle
