Without

Without Twitter I…

…wouldn’t have purchased a Mac

…wouldn’t know how to hard refresh my iPhone

…wouldn’t know half of the #ALLCAPSAWESOME bacon products on the market

…wouldn’t know what “Boom” means

Without Facebook I…

…wouldn’t be connected to friends from high school and college

…wouldn’t keep up with friends and family back home

…wouldn’t be able to harass some of my favorite cousins

…wouldn’t be able to share Craig’s latest salon story or shoe shopping adventure with those who appreciate them most

Without Google+ I…

…wouldn’t be sick of seeing “infographics”

…wouldn’t have a clue about the incredible number of creepers out there

…wouldn’t feel so strongly that Google was trying to take over the world

Without Blogging I…

…would still be lying on the sofa watching DVRed HGTV and Millionaire Matchmaker

…would nap when I was tired

…would feel like my brain had turned to mush

Although this list is brief, it can be pretty shocking to stop and think about how different our lives would be if we weren’t sharing our every thought on social media.

You’re so right. I try to imagine my life before blogging (which wasn’t that long ago), and I wonder what the heck I did?

So true. I thought I used to be busy, ha!!!

Seriously Google is taking over the world!

Yea, I’d be busy getting eye cancer from watching those overly tanned baffoons on Jersey Shore.

I had to laugh at the ones about Google+. It amazes me that they are trying so hard to push everyone to it. The elimination of picnik, and saying that a lot of the features are offered on Google+ really left a bad taste in my mouth.

I can’t even remember my life before blogging and that was a little over 2 years ago. I can just tell you that I was pretty bored back then. ;)

Haha yes Google+ is ridiculous. Only made the picnik news yesterday worse that it was going away.

I only know what I did before I blogged because I worked 80 hours a week. I want some time to watch tv now!

I’m really glad you clarified that.

Because I was sitting here thinking CRAP!!!

Gouge? Really? Is this another social media extravaganza I’ll be forced to sign up for and then ignore?

What a relief. It was just autocorrect, right?
      Phew.

Because a girl can only be so behind the curve before she starts to loop back around again…or something.

I honest to God know that my life would be completely different without Twitter. I wouldn’t have a child who sleeps 12 hours a night. I wouldn’t still be nursing at 14 months (because we wouldn’t have made it 14 days). I wouldn’t know as many awesome people. I would never have heard of HeyTell ;)

Absolutely! I sometimes think, “Wait? I thought I was busy before?”

And um, yes, creepers & Google +…

Without you, I wouldn’t know about any of these things.

Seriously, we must have been having an ESP moment, because I wrote a post about social media today, too – specifically Twitter. And I gave you a big ‘ol shout-out in it. :)

Such a TRUE list! Social media has definitely changed the way we learn and communicate. Funny, just yesterday I changed our family cell-phone plan to less minutes, because I realized that we communicate more on FB and email than we do on the phone. I wonder how we’ll be communicating in 2, 5 and 10 years!

I STILL don’t know how to do some of those things you listed. Hard refresh your phone? I’ve never even heard of that!

Also, I’m pleased to see we’re on the same page with Google+. Well done.

I’m trying really hard to get behind this Google+ thing but am having the hardest time with it! I guess I just need a really compelling reason to use it.

I think before blogging/social media I read books or something…. I’m not sure. LOL!

Without social media, I wouldn’t have ever met all the amazing women I know now, including you.

Social media is something I’m unbelievable thankful for. It’s sort of embarrassing how much I love it!

This is great and absolutely true. Some I could give up and some I will probably never invite into my life due to lack of time (Pinterest?) but I couldn’t live without all the connections I’ve made through them.
