More than a day off school

I remember so many of the silly songs I learned as a kid, and in fact, many of those songs Kate has been taught at one time or another. I don’t remember ever hearing any Presidents Day songs, though.

Until now.

Too cute! I still use the silly songs when I need to remember things, e.g., Fifty nifty United States from 13 original colonies…and I’m just a bill, yes I’m only a bill, and I’m sitting here on capitol hill

And I never learned either of the songs you mentioned. ;-(

Perhaps that’s part of the reason I loathed social studies so much.

Amazingly cute! Now I feel like my girls aren’t being properly educated since they didn’t learn a Presidents Day song.

I don’t think I ever learned a President’s Day song either. I did sing a lot of patriotic songs, but never anything about good ol’ Washington and Lincoln.

Fun idea about doing a video for iPPP!

    Too cute.
We had family day in Canada. It’s pretty much a useless holiday since everyone still has to work. Plus there are no cool songs on that day.

Well, I guess if a holiday can be made out of it, a song can be made out of it, too. Next up, Arbor day songs!

I think I would have learned a lot more in school if it had all been set to music! :) Now I’ll be humming that little ditty the rest of the day!

Yes! I wish they put everything to music when we were little. Would have made remembering stuff a whole lot easier.

Your daughter has a new admirer…. I watched this with my son and he was totally enamored with her. He kept pointing at her smiling and said more when it was done.

She is adorable and so good in front of the camera…Bravo!

I’m guessing I’d probably be a lot smarter if I’d learned this song when I was in school. At least about our nation’s presidents.

Okay I was so hoping she didn’t know the whole presidents song like my husband does because then Sophia would be SO far behind. :) I love this little song and seeing how much she learns about holidays. She is just awesome…and so are you mama!

I don’t know the presidents song and I really don’t want to use my remaining brain cells to memorize it. That’s why we have Google, right?

I learned something new from that song! How terrible is it that I never knew which presidents birthday’s were associated with “President’s Day” Oops! Oh..and the twins totally dug the video too. :-) They were very attentive throughout the whole song.

That is AMAZING. I’m pretty sure I need to memorize that and start singing it at parties.

(Which, I’m confident, will only make me more of a party must-have.)

I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. I need her to come home singing some other kind of song to remove “Hoo-rah for presidents great!” from the loop in my mind.

Well, someone at my school really messed up. Because they didn’t teach us that song when I was in grade school!

How utterly adorable is she? And, what struck me about her “performance” was that she was in tune and totally “on point”, not missing a beat. I think you’ve got a little show biz stuff going on there in your family.

Bravo for her! She did a wonderful job.

I don’t even know her and I’m proud of her. She’s a star!
