I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort this year to jazz up my wardrobe. Nothing drastic, but maybe some new shoes, a few pairs of earrings (besides the studs I wear day in and day out), and attempts to fix my hair every once in a while.
When my most recent Zappos box arrived yesterday, I realized that I’ve done a good job of shopping these past few weeks.
What’s your favorite accessory? What’s your favorite spring style trend?
This post is part of #iPPP (iPhone Photo Phun), where we link up photos taken from our smart phones. Any smart phone.

You are lovely! I’m, very slowly, making the same effort. I invested in a new sundress yesterday. (and a desperately needed new bra)
Earrings are next on the list, same ones everyday here too.
Thanks for including the “bra” mention. Hope “the girls” are doing alright.
Ooh, very cute shoes and jewelry!!
I’m wearing maternity clothes from 2+ years ago. Not very glamorous, sigh.
You have a good excuse!
All of those accessories are super cute!!
Love the scarf! I need a few if those to jazz up my wardrobe.
I’ve only worn it once! But I’m trying to be hopeful about keeping up the trend.
Oh Liz, m, too!
(I think I have the “leaf” earrings and that I need that ring. Tell Jason, mmkay?
)
You are too cute!
I love the continuation of the wedge espadrille and lots of color
Love that ring! I am trying to make that same effort. Very slowly but surely as Diva is still at that spitting up stage.
Great choices! Hot mama.
Thank you!
With all this running and exercising I feel like I’m living in lycra. Not a good look on my 41 year old bum.
I doubt your butt looks like a 41 year old’s!
I love your new shoes.
I can’t wait for the weather to improve to wear them!
You are too cute.
I am loving those sheer flowy tops. I may or may not have a few of them.
Don’t tell Shawn.
I won’t tell Shawn. But go YOU for doing some shopping.
Nice! Very cute and stylish.
I love those earrings, and your summer slingbacks.
I just realized that your feed disappeared from my blogger dashboard (even though I’m on WP, I kept my blogger account so that I could still use the dashboard). I just added it back in and it appears to be working fine now.
I wonder if that’s the sign that Google is dropping the GFC feed? Interesting!
I too have been trying to be more stylish this year (as I set here in my triple strand beaded necklace). I love accessories, but I still end up in the gray turtleneck or black sweater most of the time.
BTW, love the funky ring!
But it’s good to have a “basic” that you play up! I think you’ve done good.
You are looking tres chic! Loving those slingbacks, by the way. I need to go shoe and accessory shopping ASAP. Bloggy Boot Camp St. Louis is right around the corner and I am not ready!
Girl, I’ll be a fashion plate and you’ll be happy to have me on your arm! ha!
Yes, I will.
Can’t wait to see you next month!
My favorite accessories are the spit up on my shoulder, the cat hair on my pant legs and little girl glitter hand prints on my butt. Its a complete package.
Well, I could use those shoes. Tres cute.
I think it’s tres cute that your little girl grabs your ass.
You look great, and you have done some great shopping! I feel like I need to make more of an effort, and I know I should try to look more professional at work and things like accessories could make a difference. But I also think I would have to take more than 10 minutes to get ready in the morning, and then I change my mind. Plus, I think people would think I look weird if I suddenly start accessorizing after years of only wearing a watch and my wedding rings (not even any earrings) and never wearing something cool like a scarf.
See, I NEVER wear makeup nor do my hair unless I really, really have to. But with client meetings and other networking events due to Eli Rose, I’ve been having to get gussied up a lot more frequently.
I LOVE your scarf. I never wear them because I don’t think I can pull it off, but I still think they are adorable.
Dude, if I can, you can. Promise!
Very cute! It’s amazing how a little pop of color can really jazz up an outfit. Don’t you feel so much better when you’re dressed to impress?
What’s really helpful for me is to pin outfits or things I see online and title it with the brand or store. Then when I go to the mall, I can pull up Pinterest and be reminded of the cute things I found online.
You are like THE most efficient shopper I’ve ever known. Very innovative system, Carri.
Nice, Liz!
I love the ring and the shoes. Well to be honest, I kind of love them all.
People will make fun, I know:
but I LOVE MY OLD NAVY jeans binges.
Went before D.C. and bought 3 pairs: boyfriend roll ups that are waaay adorable and some tiny tiny barista type button up shirts.
So dang cute.
Even for an old married lady who gives herself her own at home brazilian blow out kits.
Are the shoes from Zappos? I have to have them!
Yup! RocketDog brand.
Awesome slingbacks! You’ve definitely been stepping up your game lately.
I am all about the flipflops come spring and summer. I can’t wait to set my feet free from sneakers and boots. Yuck!
I”d like for you to take off those slingbacks, put them back in the Zappos box and send them to me. NOW!
Very nice! I love love shoes. I am not that big a jewelry girl- my ears are pierced but I rarely wear earrings; but shoes, love them!
I love the shoes and the scarf! Very nice!
Such fun things! I can’t wait until the weather is nicer here in MI. I love fun accessories, like your ring, but clothes in general I hate. I have a feeling some sun will make me change my mind though
I think you are right. We get warmer here earlier than you. Give it a bit more time and you’ll be ready.
I’m letting my hair grow long. Mostly because this is probably the last time I’ll be able to do that before I start looking like an old witch. Wish I could jazz up my wardrobe but I seem to always gravitate to the kinds of clothes my mother made all seven of us siblings wear – striped shirts, navy blue, red and white and nothing floral. All from Sears – at least I don’t buy my clothes there now. Target, sometimes, but not Sears (or at least the one near us).
I’m not into many trends these days other than “what’s the weather trend?!” It’s been insane around here. I do like fun earrings. And bracelets – year round. Also huge fan of those shoes!
Bracelets I haven’t tried. Like, not at all. And I even have 2 cuffs, but never feel quite right wearing them.
Love all of it! Zappos makes me want to BUY ALL THE THINGS.
The ring and the scarf are especially nice and I bet they look great together! Oh, and I really like the earrings. Both pairs. And the skirt with the peep toe pumps. And definitely the wedge espadrilles.
Wait, were we supposed to pick one?
This is my problem with shopping.
This whole comment made me smile.
Ooh i love scarves but never buy them! The slingbacks are super cute.
My style has long left the building. I need to start with a new spring hair cut. Love your scarf, shoes…and that ring. I am into BIG jewelry. This has got me to thinking I need to look through the closet and clean out and make room for a few new things.
Do it, DO IT!
Love the new stuff! I start to feel like adding little new things when spring is around the corner. Or winter. And when that Zappos box arrives I am Sooooo happy!
the change of seasons definitely has something to do with it.
I love earrings. The cheap kinds that sparkle and have brilliant colors.
I’m trying to incorporate more colors. That’s one of my goals.
I am loving those snappy summer shoes!! You are way ahead of me friend so I better get myself moving for some new spring clothes! Hope you are doing well!
I got the shoes, but now i need to paint my toes! Happy shopping, Paula!
I think Pinterest is inspiring many of us to get out the clothing blahs and make things a little more interesting. After wearing maternity garb for what feels like all of 2011 and post-baby stuff so far in 2012, I’m hoping break out of that “look” by summer. We’ll see . . .
You can do it! I have faith in you!
I love all of it!!
Great choices!
Love the shoes and the ring, I’ve been trying to get into style more too. I think accessories are the big thing, which I totally ignored before.
you look great darlin…loving the SHOES!!!! (of course!!!)
I love this idea. I’ve made a conscious effort to start dressing better, as opposed to the yoga pants uniform. It makes a difference! At least in how I feel. And wow, I LOVE that ring!!
CUTE! Everything!!! But I love the earrings and scarf especially. I have a thing for fun accessories
